3, 2, 1…..It’s baby time! Little shoes. Little clothes. Little smiles that melt your heart. Can I just say how much I LOVE this session!? When Vanessa asked me to photograph a newborn session with her son, I told her I’m not really a “newborn” photographer and if she wanted to hire someone who is a newborn photographer, I’d be happy to recommend someone! She replied, “No I don’t want another photographer!! Haha, whatever you do is good.” What an amazing response! With her complete trust in my abilities, I was super excited to do my thing. As I look through this post, it’s hard for me not to get emotional! This family is so incredibly beautiful and I’m truly thankful for their complete confidence in me to capture this rapidly changing part of their lives. Baby Cash is such a heart-breaker and his older sister Tyler cracks me up! I especially love the faces she gave me when eating her cereal. Thank you Brigham family for not only your kind words, but also your generous hearts! Congrats to you! Family of FOUR! I mean FIVE with puppy. Hehe! Oh and GO SEAHAWKS!
Wow! What a beautiful evening this was! When Jared and I moved to Seattle three years ago, Gaby was one of my first new friends in the area. I just can’t say enough nice things about this gorgeous friend of mine! Gaby is an amazing Zumba instructor, delicious chef and most of all a wonderful mother! She has always made me feel like I’m the only photographer for her and taking her family photos again was such a treat! Her family holds a special place in my heart and as the years go on we will most likely end up in different parts of the country. However, I know whenever we chat we will always just pick up right where we left off! LOVE YOU GABY! (Brad too!) I hope you enjoy these memories long into the future. Enjoy!
This family was nominated by a friend who told me in a very sweet message how amazing this momma is and what she has overcome. Her friend’s message truly touched my heart and I knew right away I wanted to provide fun and happy memories through my lens. Tanya, thank you for a wonderful evening and the chance to share my passion with you! Your dedication to your children and their happiness is inspiring and I hope you know how fortunate I feel to have met you all!
On Facebook a couple months ago I announced Project Poppi. Project Poppi stemmed from my fear of being too complacent. I don’t want my life to pass me by without meaning and I want to create a body of work that is purely devoted to uplifting others.
How Project Poppi works: Once a month I will photograph a person, couple or family who can benefit from a free photo session from me. I will provide them with a session and a disc OR prints, which ever they choose. You can nominate a person, couple or family via Facebook in a private message or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Selections will be notified the 1st of each month. Nominations never expire and may be chosen throughout the life of the project.
Here are some ideas of great candidates for this type of nomination:
-Military family reunions
-Those battling cancer or other illnesses
-People or families who have never had a portrait session
-Single moms or dads
-Anyone who could use feelings of love and support
Thank you for all those people who have sent me incredible nominations and to those of you who would like to nominate someone, please contact me! I would love to hear from you!
Donny and Alex met while attending Central Washington University in Ellensburg. When Alex suggested she wanted to go back to Ellensburg for their engagement session, I just about jumped for joy! I love the opportunity to travel for photos and am SO happy we made it happen! These images are absolutely stunning and I couldn’t ask for a more charismatic or in love pair to photograph. I also loved that Donny wore his uniform for the second half of the photo shoot. So thankful for all those who serve our country and the opportunity to provide meaningful photos for this incredible couple! And if you are wondering, “Where did Alex get those adorable dresses?!” BOTH of the dresses are from LOLA Lifestyle Boutique in downtown Olympia, WA. This is my FAV place to shop in Olympia and you will even see some of the photos from this session on display in her beautiful boutique. Thank you to Alex & Donny! So excited for you to get married this summer!!!
