This was our first evening at Iron Springs Resort. What a great way to start off our beach getaway! We were all pleasantly surprised how peaceful and nice our cabin was! We ate delicious pesto pasta Catherine brought for dinner and practiced our artsy skills with watercolor portraits of Twiggy. She is a wonderful muse that cat. Catherine from FOX IN THE PINE takes the most fantastic photos of her kitty! She is one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram because I just can’t get enough Twiggy! The following day we went on a morning hike. Kora, our new dog loves to explore and play at the beach! She is such a sweetie and is becoming very obedient. After we got back from our hike, we got word that my sister was very close to delivering her baby! Jared and I headed to Grays Harbor Community Hospital to meet our new nephew and celebrate with family. Trey looks just like his daddy and I can’t wait to see him again! Our last full day started out with a morning walk with Kora down to the ocean. I love foggy mornings. There is just something enchanting about fog. Kora and Jared chased seagulls and crows and then we went back to the cabin for breakfast. After our tummies were full we went back to the beach for more fun. We all agreed our time would be well spent building a teepee fort out of driftwood. It turned out so COOL! I definitely burned some calories dragging logs through the sand. Totally worth it. Before we knew it, it was time for campfire and s’mores! Beach pallets provided the ultimate fire starter. We basically had the entire beach to ourselves the whole day. I’m so thankful to have such inspiring friends! It was just a perfect mini vacation. Or as Catherine would say, “parfait”.
